All her lovable characteristics flowed well into our engagement session. Jason, looking enamored as ever by Amanda was also so patient and loving towards Amanda in every way. Their love was really something so sweet. I loved capturing every moment they had together.
This engagement session took place at one of my favorite places, the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. I’m so thankful that my sister came with me. Both of us feed off of each other’s idea pitches. So it was awesome having her with me that day.
I’m really looking forward to shooting their wedding in a few weeks!!
Here is their own written story on how they met! It's adorable!
HOW THEY MET...
Once upon a time...on an online dating website called eHarmony, Amanda stumbled upon Jason’s profile. She thought to herself “Hmmm...he’s cute!” but decided to wait to see if he initiated the communication process. She waited and waited and waited some more. NOTHING! So she decided to take matters into her own hands and sent the first set of questions. He replied back (whew!)! They continued the long, tedious online courting process until finally securing a first date!
HOW THEY FELL IN LOVE...
The next year and a half was the best of their lives. They quickly realized how much they loved spending time together. She fell in love with his witty charm, thoughtfulness, and “guns.” He fell in love with her sense of adventure, strength of character, and quirkiness. They took fun vacations to Chicago (where Jason got harassed by Cub fans), Mammoth Mountain (where Jason fell on his @?#%), Santa Barbara (where Amanda tried to drink barrels of wine), and St. John (where they searched for the best lime-in-da-coconut). They couldn’t spend a moment apart so they moved in together...Jason, Amanda, and Dumas (aka fluffy muffins)...one big happy family! Just one thing was missing..
THE EN(GAG)EMENT...
Wanting to keep Amanda on her toes, Jason decided on a “progressive engagement.” Across the span of a weekend, he sent her flowers, left her sweet notes, and took her to sentimental places. But since she’s such a smart and crafty girl...he had to throw her curve balls. He “bought” tickets for a soccer game (who proposes at a soccer game?!?). Well the soccer game was conveniently “cancelled” and by the end of the night he popped the question with champagne on the rooftop of their loft.
Images to make this story even more solid.
