Chor

Many, maybe hundreds? Thousands? I dont know but MANY have asked me where my nickname has come from. Sometimes I'd respond by saying, "well it's a long story". And sometimes they'd respond and say "tell me! we have time!".

So once and for all I will FINALLY reveal this story to the internet. It probably wont keep people from asking me where it came from, but hey, if it makes more friends more power to the CHOR!

Bright and sunny day at South Lake Middle School. I made a friend today, and her name is Deborah CHO. A few weeks later we become even more acquainted and start to see updates on another's "geosites". There were a few "Christina"s in our group of friends, so every time I'd sign someone's "guestbook" I'd have to leave my last name.

This time it was a bit different.

I go onto Deborah's site, check out what's new, what's cool, what's hip... (what else is cool, hip, and new when you're in m iddle school?... well A LOT!). Her site had a few "new" things added, and so my decision to was to leave an intriguing comment in her guest book telling her how much I liked those new items.

As I finish up my wonderful message all decked out in my 7th grade vernacular, I sign my name and sign off.

The next day at school, well, I started to hear "CHOORRRR", "CHOR!", "CH-OR!", and other things of the like. I had no idea who these people were calling to, but evidently it was to me.

So I turned around, and asked those "friends" of mine "what the heck!? who's chor!?". And they respond, "YOU". Deborah had apparently informed my entire group of friends that I signed my name Christina CHOR, on her guest book.

And so there you have it. The not so interesting, not so fantastical, yet historical attributes to my lovely... well... not so lovely, but oh so me... nickname!

These images were taken at the Laguna Beach College of the Arts, where my sister's art piece was selected to enter into a school art competition! I'm so proud of her! She did an amazing job!
